In December 2024, Parthee from Kalundborg Municipality came to Promte with an idea. What if the municipality could collect the most essential GenAI solutions in one app. Now why that? Yes, during the last few years, a sea of new AI solutions had blossomed. But the situation was that everyone in the municipality used their own solutions and, on the whole, it had almost become more time-consuming than time-saving to find head and tail in the ever-growing AI jungle.
That is precisely why the early thoughts about project Andrea began to germinate at Parthee. Exactly which functions the app should contain and how it should look were not yet completely clear. But an early idea had begun to take shape:
What is project Andrea? An attempt to create the best AI employee solution for municipal employees. The app must be a single entry point for all GenAI solutions in the municipality. AI should make your working day easier, not more confusing. Therefore, AI must be easily accessible and at eye level.
Why is the project called Andrea? Because Kalundborg Municipality's intranet is called Kai. Soooo...if you've seen children's class instead of tiktok - you at least know who it is.
Project Andrea ticks off privacy, GDPR and climate. With the app, you can choose to have the entire solution on premises. You can also choose to have only some functions (e.g. specific chatbots) on premises and the rest in the cloud. It gives you the flexibility to prioritize speed and response quality when it is most important, as well as being able to prioritize security and compliance when it is paramount. For example if you have to process sensitive personal data on Promte.
Kalundborg Municipality launched project Andrea. In collaboration with Promte, Andrea has become a reality! However, with the new name Promte app, as it is now intended for all municipalities.
