Promte was created based on a shared vision of three tech enthusiasts: Victor Skovbæk Skytte, Mathias Villads Bech Jørgensen and Christian Reilly Vingborg, who have deep experience in data management and AI. Together, they aimed to use data and AI to improve how enterprises and the public sector work with artificial intelligence.

In January 2025, Promte changed its name from Applai to - yes, Promte. We are the same, with the same products and service as before. The word "Promte" means ready or quick in old Danish. We would like to signal this. Read more about the background to the name change below.
