Vibe coding with control: Watch the Promte Kodning webinar

An employee has an idea for a tool that could make an everyday task easier. With vibe coding, that idea can become an app by describing the need in words, letting AI write the code and trying out the result along the way. But what happens when colleagues start using the app and it becomes part of the organisation's daily work?

That was the focus of our webinar on Promte Kodning. Christian Vingborg and Mathias Haugegaard demonstrated the possibilities and the controls that support development, while Victor Skytte brought in questions from participants.

From an idea to an app

Vibe coding lets more people use their knowledge of everyday work to try out solutions. Examples include a calculator for an event, an overview of its programme or a small tool that removes manual steps from a workflow.

In the webinar, Christian shows how to build an app in Promte by describing what it should do. He follows the result in a preview, asks for a search field and tries out the changes. Development becomes an ongoing conversation: describe, test and refine.

Four questions before a prototype goes live

A working prototype is the starting point. When more people will rely on the solution, the organisation also needs to consider:

• AI and updates: Who maintains the solution, and how are new models handled?
• Access and data: Who can use the app, and which data and services can it access?
• Quality and ownership: How are changes tested, and who takes over if the responsible employee leaves?
• Oversight and cost: How does the organisation monitor usage and set limits on development and running costs?

These questions involve the people who understand the task, IT and those who will be responsible for the finished solution.

The demonstration explores how an organisation can set rules for apps and their releases. A new version can be submitted for approval, and an administrator can review requests for access to particular services or data.

We also show settings for guardrails, logging and spending limits. Guardrails can, for example, be configured to block certain types of personal information or record events. The discussion covers the limits of filtering too: More complex information, such as descriptions of someone's health, requires a different assessment from recognising a Danish CPR number.

Testing and responsibility are therefore part of the conversation. Participants ask about testing before publication, returning to an earlier version and transferring an app to another employee.

Shared infrastructure for development and operations

Promte Kodning is part of Promte's modular AI platform. The webinar looks at how apps can use shared infrastructure, AI models and access management, and how they can be shared with the relevant users. The questions also cover hosting, an organisation's own data and moving existing projects into Promte.
