How to create AI assistants

Guide video recorded on 01/06/2026

Assistants in Promte can be used to gather knowledge, instructions and workflows in a workspace that helps the user with concrete tasks. This can be anything from a general chat assistant to a specialised assistant with its own data sources, rules and access to other assistants.

In the video, we walk through a complete flow: how to create an assistant, add knowledge, work with synchronisations and use the settings to control how the assistant should answer.

The guide shows, among other things, how the knowledge base can be built with uploads, Q&As, tools, MCP servers and connections to other assistants. In that way, an assistant can use both its own data foundation and send the user on to another assistant when that gives a better answer.

The video also reviews the central model settings, where purpose, persona and rules help make the assistant more precise. This is especially important when the assistant will be used by several employees and needs to provide consistent answers across the organisation.

Finally, the guide shows the user experience from the chat, so you can see how the setup feels in practice. The goal is to make it easier to build assistants that do not just answer quickly, but also work from the right knowledge, tone and context.
